Acer is set to present its new devices at CES 2016, having a lineup of Windows and Chrome systems.
As reported by PC World, Acer launches an all-in-one 23.8-inch screen Chromebase 24, the largest display in a Chrome desktop. This new device has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, with options for Intel's Core processors and up to 8GB of DDR3L low-power memory. An 802.11 a/c Wi-Fi, four built-in microphones and HD webcam suitable for video conferencing. It offers a touchscreen option and screen can be title from 5 to 30 degrees, price is still unannounced.
Another device lineup from Chrome systems is Chromebook 11, with a premium finish and a fashionable look. An 11.6-inch laptop with an Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of memory storing up to 32GB, a 1366 x 768 screen and an 802.11n Wi-Fi. It offers a long nine hours of battery life and price starts at $180.
Acer is continuing its support for Google's other OS, tells ZD Net, with the Iconia One 8 tablet. An 8-inch slate running Android 5.1, Lollipop. It is designed to be family friendly, with child-appropriate content including Kids Center app that provides parental controls. It also has a simplified UI design for young users. The Iconia One 8 has a MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB built in storage and can be bought for $99.99 available next month.
On the Windows front, according to PC, an updated Intel RealSense 3D camera is coming to the Aspie Nitro Black Edition laptop. It will be available on both 15-inch and 17-inch notebooks, having a sense range of up to 4.9 feet for gesture control, tracking and object recognition. The company said that gamers will soon be able to scan their faces and objects to use in-game characters and in-game modifications.
These products will be at a price of $1,099 and will be available in February. Noted also that the camera is also applicable with Windows Hello, operating at an HD resolution at 60 frames per second when used as a 2D Camera. Another device is the TravelMate P648, suitable for business travelers and professionals featuring the first Qualcomm Atheros 802.11ad wireless for speeds up to 4.6Gbps on a notebook.
TravelMate P648, a 14-inch system with Intel Core i7 processor option and Nvidia GeForce 940M discrete graphics. It includes Thunderbolt 3, spill-resistant keyboard and security hardware and software. All these for a price starting at $799.99, available in April.
The company also presented the Aspire Switch 12S, a convertible Windows 10 tablet that comes with a 12.5-inch 4K or Full HD display. Transformable into four different modes-tablet, notebook, tent and display. Powered by sixth-generation Intel Core M processors with Thunderbolt 3 on USB-C. Available in 4GB or 8GB of memory and an SSD storage of 128-256GB. Product will cost $999.99, and will be available in February.
