“Days of Our Lives” fans worry about the exit of their favorite Kate Mansi who plays the role of Abigail asking about what will happen to the love team, "ChAbby."
Reports reveal that Mansi has finished taping and her last scenes will air through May or even some on June. With that, fans are worried about her fate with love interest, Chad (Billy Flynn), Soap Shows reported.
It is said that even if Mansi left, the famous "ChAbby" pairing will still be there which makes fans think that there might be a replacement for her role. But knowing that she is part of a love team, it might be hard for the fans to take.
Blind items and news about her departure has been around the internet for some time but it is just recently that Mansi's exit was confirmed. It was Mansi's decision to leave the show for reasons that were not revealed yet.
If DOOL will hire a new actress to get her role, they will obviously not accept just anyone because the acting of Mansi is tough to follow. To recall, there was a casting call for a character named "Val" which might be a disguise for Abigail's recast. If they can't get the perfect actress to get the role of Abby, a new character might be introduced, Celeb Dirty Laundry speculated.
It also added that Abby might have a mental breakdown especially that Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) will be back soon and Matthew Ashford will reprise his role as Jack for five episodes. The airdates of Ashford’s episodes are in line with that of Abigail’s on-air departure timeframe. This might cause Abby to hallucinate about Ben and his dead dad, Jack. Reports reveal that the ghost of Jack might urge Abby to get into a mental health facility.
For now, fans have to follow the story of Abby and Chad as they begin to reunite after Chad was brainwashed to have a romantic feeling for Belle. Abby will reveal to Chad that he is the father of Thomas and the pair will start to build a happy family. Chad will then propose marriage to Abby, Serial Scoop reported.
