Celebrity Travels: Roxanne Pallett Discovers More About Memphis, Elvis Presley's Hometown

Actress Roxanne Pallett discovers how great Elvis Presley's homeland, Memphis, is. Pallett shared to Daily Mail how memorable her trip was and that she came to see that Memphis "truly rocks."

Roxanne and her mother Monica opted to go for a road trip as part of Monica's 60th birthday celebration. It was a trip down to music memory lane from Nashville to Memphis. The moment that they arrived in Memphis, they already felt the "sense of rock, blues and soul in the air." Memphis is known as the landmark of history and Roxanne believes that there is so much to that even if you are not an Elvis fan, still you will be fascinated by it.

Their first stop was in Graceland wherein they got to visit the popular and iconic Graceland Mansion. Elvis famous home is definitely the first place to go to. As Roxanne said, "Since my trip I've been reading so much about Elvis and his life, I find him fascinating."

Roxanne had her photo taken on the steps of Elvis' home. Aside from that she also had photos of Elvis' memorabilia such as his Las Vegas costume and gold records. They were also able to visit Elvis' Automobile Museum even though not much of his cars were there. In addition, Roxanne had a great shot of one of Elvis' private plane called "Lisa Marie."

As Roxanne and Monica go along in their trip, they were able to see how proud the people of Memphis are with Elvis. Everything about Elvis was well preserved, protected and greatly valued. They were really in awe with what they have discovered and learned about Elvis. His legacy truly lives within the place which makes it more special and interesting.

Another interesting thing in Roxanne's Memphis trip was the night stroll at Beale Street which is a five-minute walk from The Peabody Hotel. Roxanne shared that a walk at Beale Street will get you the real sense of the city.

Roxanne said that "she was stunned at just how much musical history Memphis has. So much has come from just one place."

It has been reported that Roxanne and Monica's Nashville to Memphis trip was truly a magical experience. As Roxanne said after her trip that "I'm a little bit country and I'm a little bit rock 'n' roll'.
