5 Million People Fear Relationship Break-ups May Lead to Them Being Homeless Later In England

There are around five million people who are in fear to be homeless later on if they ever break up with their partners. According to the survey, nearly one in three people who are living with their partners admitted this issue.

There are nearly 5 million people, which is 4.9 million people to be exact who said that they feared that "if their relationship broke down" they would lose their home and they will become homeless afterwards. In some cases, this situation leads the couple to a trap.

Relationship breakdown was seen to be the most prevalent reason why there are increasing homeless people in England. Based from the housing the homelessness charity, Shelter, this has become the third most common cause for the homelessness all throughout the country.

YouGove online opinion poll also indicated that there are almost 25 percent of the people who are worried that they will become like those homeless people if they will fall behind their mortgage or rent payments in this year.

Shelter is now encouraging those people who felt trapped with the relationship especially those who are in fear of becoming homeless later when their relationship breaks down to get an expert help as soon as possible. To those who fear that they will become homeless due to the mortgage issues, they need to do the same as well.

Nadeen Khan, the helpline adviser from Shelter, said, "A break-up can happen for any number of reasons, but it's always an incredibly stressful and upsetting time, without the added fear of becoming homeless as well."

He added, "Speaking to Shelter's expert advisers early can make a world difference when it comes to finding or keeping a home. Every day we help people who are coming to terms with a relationship breakdown."

Khan also mentioned that this group of people should keep in mind that they need to be ready to figure out where they could live later as soon as relationship is not working well with their partners. At least, they don't have to mind where they will live if they don't work out together.
