"The Silence of the Lambs" Home Still Up For Sale, Fails to Find Buyers Despite Price Drop

One of this week's popular homes for sale is the house that was used for the shooting of the 'Silence of the Lambs' movie which starred Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. The question is, would anyone want to live there?

Looks like the couple who owns the house are having a hard time selling it, perhaps it's for the reason that the house was used to shoot a movie that depicts murder making it creepy to the ears. In fact this house was also featured on the January 11th episode of Inside Edition and they entitled the segment, the house that is still for sale.

"No serial killers here, we just want to sell out home," this is the statement Barbara said when she was interviewed on The Inside Edition. She and her husband Scot Lloyd has lived there for more than 39 years now and when they first listed the house for the price of only Under 250,000 dollars. Their reason for selling is because they are downsizing.

When the movie 'Silence of the Lambs' was filmed here, the crew made some changes in the house including putting in China, cupboards and redoing some paint. Barbara even showed some of the green painting that they did not take off just for posterities' sake.

It was also reported that the exterior of the house did not change since it was built in 1910 and the movie was shown back in 1991.

Barbara assured the audience and the would-be buyers on TV, "It was just a movie. No ghosts. No serial killer. Nothing evil in the house," she said.

The house was listed with the help of a real estate agent named Diane Wilks, who believes that that house is a charmer despite the spooky depiction of the house in the movie, the reason why there's still people interested in it.

So far though, there is no taker of the house yet.
