HGTV Renews 'Property Brothers' for 4 More Seasons

Fans of "Property Brothers will be happy over the news that HGTV has renewed it for 52 more episodes, or four more seasons. According to Multichannel.com, the network has also renewed its spin-off show, "Property Brothers: Buying and Selling" with 13 more episodes.

The two shows are hosted by Jonathan and Drew Scott, identical twins who are also both licensed real estate agents and contractors. In "Property Brothers," the duo help their clients to find, buy and transform their dream home to suit their needs. Their clients range from individuals buying their first houses, to families needing a bigger space.

In "Buying and Selling," Jonathan and Dres help their clients to first fix up their current homes so they can sell them, and then find and buy a new one.

"Property Brothers" is now on its sixth year, and is a massive success in Canada and the U.S. It resulted to two other spin-offs, namely: "Brother vs. Brother" and "Property Brothers at Home."

Kathleen Finch, president of DIY Network and HGTV, called Jonathan and Drew "the cable equivalent of box-office movie stars" during a 2014 interview for The New York Times. The year before that, the brothers were even included in People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" list.

The Scott brothers' fame has also resulted into multiple TV, radio and magazine appearances, as well as a successful outdoor furniture line called Scott Living. Aside from running their real estate business, Jonathan and Drew also have their own production company, Scott Brothers Entertainment.

More recently, the brothers also ventured into the music business. The Boot reported that Jonathan and Drew have released two country singles, entitled "Hold On" and "Let the Night Shine In."

"Property Brothers" season six will premiere on Feb. 17, while "Property Brothers: Buying and Selling" will return to television in July.
