Rangers Goalie, Henrik Lundqvist, the world's famous Swedish hockey goalie is leaving his Midtown West home after selling it for $4.995 million.
The 2,035-square-foot duplex was reportedly listed back in 2014 for $6.5 million because Lundqvist and his family are looking for a bigger home downtown. However, he chopped the price in August.
It's a bit odd since Lundqvist often makes it onto "most beautiful people" and "best dressed" lists, and he has an uber-contemporary home with strangely purple décor.
The penthouse has master suite, second bedroom, and a media room on the lower level. It boasts a large entertaining area upstairs, lined with floor-to-ceiling windows and has a dining area, an open chef's kitchen and living room. There is an access to a 1, 000-square-foot Ipe wood decorated terrace that has an outdoor bar, hot tub, television, and a foosball table.
The master suite features a customized closet, dressing area, and an en suite, spa-like, windowed bathroom.
Meanwhile, Lundqvist owns a restaurant named Tiny's in Tribeca. It would be surprising if he will not end up getting a home within that neighborhood. His team mates, Mats Zuccarello and Derick Brassard, also recently bought a house in the area.
The Elad Properties developed penthouse duplex that is located at The Link, a 215-unit, 42-story tower at 310 W. 52nd Street. It was sold to Amundsen LLC, a foreign national and is not related to Knicks center Lou Amundsen.
The Link is a sleek condo tower that is known for its clear glass "cube" entrance, similar to the one that was built in 2006 by Macklowe Properties. It was designed by Gal Nauer Architects and Costas Kondylis and Partners
On the other hand, Elad Properties, headed by Miki Naftali, has other Manhattan projects that include the residential conversion of Plaza Hotel and the former Gift Building 225 Fifth Avenue and the former O'Neill Store at 655 Avenue of the Americas.
