The site explains that general manners like being on time for home viewing are also crucial in closing a deal. Having your financial documents ready is also part of the buyer's etiquette.

These unwritten rules are no-brainer so to speak, but home buyers fail in this area. For example, if you intend to buy the property, you need to be "responsive when requests for documents, signatures, or answers are needed from your real estate professionals."

Talking about these unwritten rules is to help out first-time buyers to close the deal. For example, not being prompt in your home viewing appointment or not showing up could mean you lose the chance to own the house. Particularly, "in a really hot real estate market, if you're late or you don't show up for the listing, you might not get a second chance - the home could be sold."

Realtor.com also says that getting a pre-approved loan is another unwritten rule that a home buyer needs to observe too. When you have a pre-approved loan, you know exactly the house you can afford. This will spare you from wasting the time of your agent and the home seller.

When you view the house, you don't need to bring the whole gang to check the real estate property. Home viewing is not a field trip, plus "too many opinions can be confusing and overwhelming, and add unnecessary time to the property tour."

Do ask permission when you want to take a picture of the property. The home seller might be very particular about privacy, so it is safe to ask first.

Finally, during the home viewing, don't linger. 30 minutes is already a considerable time. You can also come back for a second viewing if necessary, but try to avoid having multiple visits.
