Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has made a lot of laptop fans reconsider their options.
Microsoft Surface RT back in 2012 started the vision that a tablet can replace a laptop. Microsoft did stumble a few times along the way, but they got back up and redesigned their tablets. Well, tablets have not really replaced the laptop, not in its entirety, but a lot is considering it now with the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3, was better than its predecessor because of a bigger screen and a better resolution, GizMag reported. They have also introduced a better type cover keyboard and an agile kickstand that can take various working positions.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4, today, will make the predecessor's specs a notch lower than where it is. It offers a faster processor, better hardware, and a bigger screen. A touchpad that responds accurately and a pen add up to a superb user experience.
The type cover keyboard is what is pushing the Surface Pro 4 up in the ladder. It has improved significantly. It works smoother, weighs lighter, a Chicklet-type spacing for a more comfortable use. The backlit keys and the enhanced glass track pad also make the tablet far easier to use, Gotta be Mobile reported.
Windows 10 integration also makes it feel more of a laptop than a tablet because the settings and apps just ran much better with it.
However, like all other devices, Surface Pro 4 also has its downfalls. For one, using dual display can sometime result in either too small or too large for the second display. There is also a battery issue where some tablets would not last for the promised nine hours of use plus the lack of USB ports. Lastly, the edge, which is the latest browser from the Redmond-based tech giant, lacks support for extensions. This makes it difficult for users to make it a primary browser.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a great tablet, but it may not really replace the laptop after all. There is a Microsoft Surface Book for that.
