Another pre-fab Hobbit home is currently being built in Chelan, Washington, owned by Kristie Wolfe, a designer, dressmaker, and a tiny house expert. Her own "Shire" project is expected to be finished in the middle of 2016.

Wolfe's little Hobbit home is measured around 288 square feet (26.7 square meter) in size built on a 5.5 acre land (2.2 hectare plot). The location where the house is built is surrounded with mountains since it is situated in the mountainside of Chelan, Washington, D.C.

In her plot, the visitors could see her small garden before entering her home. What people would see inside are the "The Lord of the Rings"-inspired designs from the kitchen, bathroom and the living area. It's like a home of a Hobbit carpenter as described by Giz Mag.

Wolfe said, "We made the building super sturdy to withstand the weight of being buried, 2x6 studs on 12-inch centers and 3.4-inch marine plywood. Then we wrapped the exterior with Certainteed ice guard and house wrap and also used a moisture guard insulation by Certainteed as well to combat any water issues we might experience being underground."

"There's also a French drain around the whole perimeter. Plus since there is a heap of soil on all but one side it is incredibly well insulated and super quiet inside," she added.

According to the same source, the Hobbit home will be made available for rent starting March 2016.

The Hobbit home has become a trend toward the end of 2015. That means, there is a high possibility that this could be adapted in the next year as an answer to the woes of the renters with high renting price.

Standard.co.uk reported that these types of houses are now considered a big solution to London residents' renting woes. Based from the specified measurements the developers provided, they will build Hobbit homes measuring 400 square feet with only three days to assemble. This will be the smallest house. They may also opt for the larger ones with 1,917 square feet size. So, it's up to the renter as to what type of Hobbit homes they would prefer staying in.

Inside these homes are the generous master bedroom, lounge, kitchen, and diner. These will be made with fabricated fibre-reinforced polymer that are said to make the house waterproofed and to withstand strong winds. Each of these Hobbit homes is estimated to cost around $14,998 or £10,000.
