"Gods and Secrets" director Adi Shankar told the media he will remove the scenes of Mark Salling from the film if the serious allegations against him are proven true.
"The Glee" star was arrested on Tuesday by the Los Angeles Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit with a search warrant. The 33-year-old actor was alleged to have kept possession of child pornography.
Because of the serious news for the actor, it sounded like his arrest was just the beginning of his downfall. Mark Salling is part of the cast for the upcoming film "Gods and Secrets." However, he will be removed from the scenes once if is proven guilty.
Adi Shankar wanted to see the whole situation first before saying something on removing the actor. "Today I was made aware of the serious allegations against Salling as a result of numerous media outlets hounding me as to whether he would remain in 'Gods and Secrets."
He added, "I won't feed our growing pitchfork culture. I'm going to wait for all the facts to arrive and if in fact these allegations are true, I will immediately take action which includes removing his scenes from the project."
The actor's arrest was unexpected. It happened after the production took place.
Mark Salling was arrested by the police authorities after they have recovered images and video of child pornography on his electronic media devices. He was then placed in the LAPD's Metropolitan, Detention Center and was booked on $20,000 bail.
But he was released yesterday after his family paid $2,000 of the whole amount of the bail. He will be facing the court this January 22, 2016.
So far, there are no further details released by the Los Angeles Police Department yet at the moment. But for sure, a lot will be watching on what will be the result on the upcoming trial on Mark Salling's possession of child pornography case.
