The area of the property for sale is a gated 2.9 acre of more than 10 cars to park driveway. The master bedroom has two separate baths in them with walk in closets. There's a one-of-a-kind library in the house which is two stories tall with amazing views. There's also a private office with balcony, and an open living room for entertaining guests. The main house has extra suite rooms and maids quarters. Outside is where the pool, a built in BBQ area, and an area for meditation are.

There's also a tennis court and along with is a tennis pavilion that features a 2 story observation deck, and an art studio with very high ceilings and elevators. There is also a place for the screening room, with an additional bed and bath with its own private entrance.

The house had so much memories to the couple as it is where they use to entertain friends and it was the house where they celebrated their golden anniversary of marriage in 1994.

It was in 1959, after winning an Oscar for Ben-Hur, Charleton and his wife Lydia decided to hire an architect by the name of William S. Beckett. He designed the now mid-century styled house that has its own piece of Hollywood history. It was said that during the house's construction, the Heston's visited often marveling at the creation of their beautiful house with outstanding mountain views on every room.

It took seven years after his death until his home is considered for sale.
