The house famously featured as Walter White's residence in the hit TV series "Breaking Bad" is now on the market for $4 million.
The ranch-style home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was famously featured in the show as the home of Walter White, his wife Skylar, and their son Walt. Jr.
The house has been owned by the Quintana family since 1973. However, it became a global tourist attraction after it was shown on Breaking Bad, drawing hundreds of fans daily who stop to take photos or reenact scenes from the show. It is precisely for this reason that the current owner, Joanna Quintana, is selling the home she grew up in.
"We average 300 cars a day. Come Balloon Fiesta, hundreds of thousands come for balloons. Balloons go up, they come down. Where do they come? Here," Joanna told KOB4.
"So we're going to walk away with just our memories. It's time to move on. We're done. There's no reason to fight anymore," she added.
How Much Are They Asking for the House?
The modest 1,910-square-foot home has three bedrooms and one bathroom. It also features a piano, a living room, a dining area, a kitchen, an attached two-car garage out front, a pool, a covered barbecue area, and a private backyard.
The iconic home has a price tag of $4 million, though the median selling price in the area is just around $400,000, per AP News. That said, home values do not take into account the property's appeal to fans.
Joanna is hoping to attract a buyer who could use the property as something that would honor its legacy and cultural significance, adding that she is hoping the house is transformed into a BnB or a museum.
Potential buyers can view the listing on the website. The house is being offered by David Christensen and Sonya Avila of Christensen Group | eXp Realty Luxury.
What Scenes Were the House Featured In?
The home's interior was never shown on the TV series and was only used for preparations. However, its exterior was featured in several iconic scenes, including the "pizza toss" from Season 3, Episode 2.
Another famous scene tied to the house is the recurring image of the pink teddy bear floating in the backyard pool.
