Comic Con Buzz: The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 as Most Highly-Anticipated and Most-Tweeted About Film

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" panel was hailed as the most tweeted-about panel during the 2015 San Diego Comic Con according to Digital Spy UK. Over 2 million tweets were posted about the annual convention over the weekend, and the Hunger Games panel seemed to be at the top of it all, defeating up and coming films such as "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" (2016)-- both of which stimulated a lot of buzz as well.

The cast and crew of The Hunger Games dropped by Comic Con last July 10 for what may seem to be their last Comic Con panel as they promoted the last instalment of the Hunger Games film franchise. Among the panellists were main cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. Director Francis Lawrence was also present during the panel session as he unveiled the trailer for the latest film.

The Hunger Games panel was certainly not the only one that was trending. According to ComicBook.com other film franchise contenders for Twitter-verse dominion were also the following: DC film 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' and the seventh instalment to the Star Wars movie franchise, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Aside from Dawn of Justice, other DC films such as the "Suicide Squad" (2016) and "Justice League" (2017) also gained popularity on Twitter during the Comic Con weekend.

Deadline.com revealed that "The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2" star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays the feisty protagonist Katniss Everdeen, was the most tweeted-about celebrity of the entire convention. She was followed by actors Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins all of whom are main cast members of the popular TV series 'Supernatural'. Dylan Sprayberry of the TV series 'Teen Wolf' capped off the top five list of most tweeted-about celebs at Comic Con.

The "Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 2" is set to premiere later this year on November 2015. This will be the last movie of the entire film franchise.
