"Ash vs. Evil Dead" showed the audience about what to expect for the horror/comedy series that's due to air on Starz soon. The three-minute preview of the official trailer for the series at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con that showed Bruce Campbell, playing Ash Williams, wreak havoc with his chainsaw.
According to Den of Geek, we are to expect a new horror/comedy TV series to show on Starz with Halloween. "Ash vs. Evil" is a rendition of the original Evil Dead trilogy. It is also a horror film with a twist of humor along the way.
The first full length showed that Ash Williams, Bruce Campbell's character keeping Pablo informed about the most recent evil encounters and his means in destroying them for the past thirty years. Also, it shows action-packed bloody fights, several swift fight scenes, villains being sabotaged by Ash's chainsaw, and the rest is just plan horrific.
THE STORYLINE
According to Rolling Stone, the chainsaw-armed lead character Ash Williams is the one who is battling evil force of evil that he encounters. It is also reported that the evil entities were the one who found Ash and that made him wreak havoc upon them. His character basically wants to eradicate every living being that crosses his way... as brutally as possible. However, it's not all horror. We are also to expect some humor around it, even if that would be quite challenging to picture out in a horror movie.
THE CAST and PRODUCTION
The other characters joining Bruce Campbell on the film will be Lucy Lawless, who plays a mysterious figure who would blame all the evil that's going rampant on Ash, Ray Santiago as Ash's sidekick, Mimi Rogers, Dan DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones.
The director of the upcoming horror installment is Sam Raimi, also responsible for the original Evil Dead franchise.
