They say "Change is inevitable" and this saying proves quite to be true even in TV shows, as "Castle" is about to undergo a major change. The ABC police procedural drama will still see the return of Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as Detective Kate Beckett, and other major characters like Seamus Dever and Jon Huertas. Unfortunately some key characters like actress Penny Johnson Jerald's Captain Gates have been booted out of the series.
Production for "Castle" Season 8 has already begun and some of the actors and actresses have expressed their excitement over the upcoming season via various outlets.
Actress Stana Katic, who plays Detective Kate Beckett in "Castle," expressed excitement over returning on set and sharing new stories with her fellow co-stars, Enstarz reported.
"To all of my #Castle friends: have a GREAT 1st day back tomorrow! I miss you & will see you soon. I can't wait to tell great stories together," the 37-year-old actress wrote on her Twitter account.
Carter Matt noted that Nathan Fillion, Jon Huertas, and Seamus Dever seem to have the best time of their lives on set, as the actors shared a couple of behind-the-scenes clips on Instagram.
The actors did a couple of "Dubsmash" videos and posted these clips on Huertas' Instagram account. Molly Quinn also teased fans that the upcoming season of "Castle" will be "on steroids," much thanks to its new showrunners, Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter.
"Castle" Season 8 premieres on Sept. 21 on ABC.
