"Dance Moms" has officially been renewed for Season 6! While Maddie Ziegler and other dancers have expressed their uncertainties over returning for another season of the Lifetime reality series, Abby Lee Miller is already holding casting calls for new stars in the upcoming season. Does this mean we'll no longer see Ziegler in Season 6?
"Dance Moms" Season 6 will see the return of dance instructor Abby Lee Miller, despite previous statements from the ALDC mentor that she will not be returning to the Lifetime reality series following issues with the network's payment schemes and production. While most fans are already excited to see Miller back on stage, some are wondering if Maddie Ziegler will also be returning for the upcoming season.
Enstarz noted that Ziegler, who has appeared in Sia's music videos for "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart," has previously hinted that she has plans to pursue her acting career. The 12-year-old dancer recently appeared in "Pretty Little Liars" and has expressed hope to return to the ABC Family series in the future. While Ziegler's return remains uncertain, the cast and crew of "Dance Moms" are currently holding casting calls for dancers who are aged 12 and below and moms who are interested in joining them for the next season.
Mystic Art Pictures released details of casting calls for "Dance Moms" Season 6, which reads, "If you are ready to take your kid's career to the next level & give them the fame they deserve, moms, this is your chance! Producers are looking for dancers who feel they have what it takes to train and compete under the direction of Abby Lee Miller."
Applications must be submitted online and interviews will be conducted via Skype. Only applicants who get to the final round of auditions will be having an interview with Miller. An open call will also be held on Sept. 12, 2015 in Los Angeles.
