‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reboot’: Will Smith Producing; Jayden Smith and Willow Smith Included In he Casting?

Prince of Bel-Air is getting a reboot like other classic movies in the 90's. TV news says that kids of Will Smith, who is producing the remake, are included in the casting.

Perez Hilton gives us the latest scoop of the next TV series that will soon to have a remake. According to the news, Will Smith will produce the show through Overbrook Entertainment, his own production company. However, Smith would like to retell the story with a new angle. It would be like getting back to his roots in Philadelphia.

Screen Rant also says that a pitch for the latest TV comedy to be rebooted has not been finalized yet. From the report of TVLine, Smith is not expected to appear in front of the camera once this "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reboot" gets aired.

Everyone can google the basic facts about the comedy show. It was last aired in 1996 at NBC channel. It is a story of a boy who was born and raised from Philadelphia, but was sent to California to live with his rich uncle and aunt. His character evolved from being a naughty teenager to a responsible young adult.

TVLine also says that an official longline have been being planned out. According to some sources, there would be a new spin that will be incorporated as the the showrunners wants to narrate the Fresh Prince somewhat differently. Sure, it is still a "fish-out-of-water tale," but in a present-day family.

Since the new tv project is under Overbrook Entertainment, James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett and Jada Pinkett-Smith are also the team behind the production.

As for casting, Perez Hilton says that he could totally see Jaden Smith as Will's character teenage son while Willow Smith as Jazz's daughter. But nothing is final yet as everything is still in the works. NBC, the studio who aired the 6 season of Fresh prince, is not yet involved in the development of the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" reboot. The NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said in an interview during the TCA summer press tour in Beverly Hills that they would be happy to talk to Smith about this new project.
