After nearly fifteen years of waiting for his Enzo Ferrari biopic to come to life, Michael Mann finally found the perfect lead actor for the role in Christian Bale in the upcoming film "Ferrari."
It has been almost fifteen years since Michael Mann started to formulate his ideas in creating an Enzo Ferrari biopic, reported Deadline. After landing big films in the industry such as "Public Enemies," "Collateral," "The Last of the Mohicans," and "Heat," the director finally has been able to put the pieces together this year.
One of the film's developments after several years of preparation is choosing the perfect actor to portray the lead character in the person of Christian Bale.
Bale has been able to work with Mann a few years back in the film "Public Enemies." Furthermore, the two also share a similarity as some of the few personalities in the movie industry to be hailed in the Academy Awards, Mann nominated four times as best film director and Bale as an Academy Award winner.
The upcoming biopic entitled "Ferrari" will showcase the life of Enzo Ferrari, the Italian car magnate who, until now, is one of the most famous personalities in the automotive industry and whose company produces one of the best and fastest cars in the entire world.
Ferrari was initially born in Modena last February 18, 1898. Since then, he has devoted his entire life into constructing one of the best sports cars, even in the track arena, reported Coming Soon. He himself was also proclaimed as an Alfa Romeo driver during the year 1924 and consequently founded the Scuderia Ferrari on Viale Trento Trieste in Modena that has, until now, inspired how people who assists drivers during races.
The Michael Mann film "Ferrari," a biopic of the automotive industry mogul Enzo Ferrari will start filming during the summer of next year starring Christian Bale as the lead actor. Furthermore, the lead actress role is still up for grabs as the film prepares for shooting.
