Chris Brown ended his relationship with girlfriend Karrueche Tran on Thursday after artist was reportedly spotted hooking up with his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
The artist said in a statement to MTV News, "I have decided to be single to focus on my career."
I love Karrueche very much and I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna."
This statement came after the both artists were seen together again on Wednesday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, MTV News reported.
Brown later on tweeted that night, "Both r Free from it all."
Tran also posted on her Twitter Wednesday night, "Bye baby."
Although Brown and Tran broke up, this doesn't guarantee reconciliation with Rihanna. Both artists claim they are just friends.
"I'd rather be single allowing us to both be happy in our lives," Brown told MTV News.
