After starring in "Furious 7," Vin Diesel announced that he will, once again, hit the screens this coming 2016 as Xander Cage. On his Instagram account, the actor revealed that filming for XxX 3 will commence this coming December.
Vin Diesel has made a mark on the movie industry playing lead roles in the "Need For Speed" or "Fast and the Furious" franchise seven times over, the eight installment to hit theaters soon. However, his career also boomed when he hit the lead role in the action-packed sequel entitled "XxX."
Yesterday, Diesel posted a photo of himself, captioned with a major announcement concerning the "XxX" franchise, reported Comic Book. The post was as follows:
Apparently, Diesel is expected to participate in "XxX" once against as Xander Cage for the second time.
The post revealed that the filming for "XxX 3" will start this coming Deccember in the Philippines.
THE STORYLINE
The "XxX" franchise talks about an extremely robust athlete in the person of Xander Cage, played by none other than Diesel, reported Entertainment Weekly.
However, the government then recruited him as a spy, knowing that his skills would benefit the greater good than just in sports.
Diesel first appeared as Cage during the first installment of "XxX" released last 2002. His co-stars during the first installment include Samuel L. Jackson and Asia Argento. However, for the second installment, he was replaced by Ice Cube in the lead role.
Although no recent reports have been revealed as to when the release date for "XxX" 3 will be, Vin Diesel is expected to retain his role as Xander Cage once again.
