Microsoft's Lumia 940 XL and Lumia 940 will be released Oct. 19 running on Snapdragon 810 and 808, just in time for Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Microsoft Band release.
Microsoft's Lumia 940 XL and Lumia 940 reports suggest that the upcoming handsets are going to be rolled out this October. However, a new source claims to know the actual launch schedule of both handsets. Moreover, two other devices were mentioned, the Surface Pro 4 and a new Microsoft Band which are also said to be launched at the same time, Phone Arena reported.
Lumia 940 XL and Lumia 940 is set for launch by Microsoft this coming Oct. 19 in New York City. But that is not all, as it seems that the multinational technology company is going for a sure hit with the highly anticipated unveiling of two other upcoming gadgets. The first one is the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is their most recent iteration in the Microsoft Surface Pro series. The other one is a new smartwatch model, which the company called "the Microsoft Band."
Microsoft launches remain unofficial as of this moment. In the meantime, fans are being told to wait until further announcement is made by Microsoft itself regarding the official release date of the Lumia phones and the other two devices that are rumored to be present as well during the launch.
Lumia handsets features, on the other hand, were revealed by GSM Arena. According to them, Lumia 940 is likely to come with a 5.2-inch display and will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 CPU and 3GB of RAM. While Lumia 940 XL will be a little bigger in size, having a 5.7 screen and will run on the Snapdragon 810. It will also have a backup of 3GB of RAM, just like Lumia 940.
Lumia and Microsoft fans should look forward to the release of these gadgets during the fourth quarter of this year.
