Google Nexus 8 Tablet Comes to Life with MediaTek Processor, Android Marshmallow 6.0; Tablet to be Released Alongside LG Nexus 5, Huawei Nexus 6?

Nexus 8 is said to be released alongside Nexus 5 2015 and 6 2015.

LG Nexus 5 and the Huawei Nexus 6 have received much attention in the world of smartphones lately. The level of excitement and expectation surrounding these two mobile devices is currently high and consumers might not care much about a possibility of a tablet being released as well.

Nexus 7 was Google's first attempt with a tablet device, which was released last 2012 together with a smart phone, the Nexus 4. From then on, Google has released smartphones and tablets alongside each other each year, under its Nexus series. This was followed by the Nexus 9 and 10, skipping the number 8 for unknown reasons.

'Nexus 2015 series' buzz in the tech world is about Google's possible tablet release alongside Nexus 5 2015 and Nexus 6 2015, and it isn't stopping, with this time it is rumored to be named Nexus 8.

Google Nexus 8 benchmark test for the said device started the ball rolling for these speculations. News has been going around pertaining to a "Nexus 8" tablet being tested out with GeekBench 3, Phone Arena reported.

Though Google Nexus 8 is still unconfirmed and the benchmark test can be manipulated, altered or not, the said benchmark test shows the Nexus 8 being powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core processor. It also seems that Google will not be using a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and instead a MediaTek processor may be the one installed.

Google Nexus 8 rumors also indicated that the device has an Android 5.1.1 OS installed, although Google will, most likely, release it with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Nexus 8 tablet is also said to sport an 8-inch display. There is no inclination on who will manufacture it, and no other information can be found either.

Google Nexus 8 tablet fans will have to wait and see for some further rumors. Who knows, Google might suddenly announce it instead, so fans of the Nexus should keep up to date.
