Movie Flops of 2015: Five Films that Didn’t Break the Box Office

Tomorrowland

Reported Budget: $190 million

Worldwide Box Office: $208.4 million

Disney had an awesome summer because of "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Inside Out," however "Tomorrowland" didn't help in any shape or any form, and has been tagged the biggest flop as of the moment. There are many elements to point at, among them poor reviews, and all of those challenges that led to it being a big disappointment. Well, the positive thing is people in the production are well-talented enough to rebound, and hopefully will be able to impress the moviegoers in their next adventure.

Fantastic Four

The film has made a little more than $50 million in the U.S., and it seems like 20th century Fox may have lost $100 million on the capital. Although Marvel has yet to announce what they intend to do with the movie franchise in the future, it has become definite that they are not looking into a sequel.

Pixels

The movie got Adam Sandler playing the lead role, but this didn't guarantee box office success, even with the actor's credentials riddled with films that made over $100 million. On the other hand, his star seems to have faded dramatically, with the current bummer of "Pixels." By the time of its release, Sony had forecasted about $75 million in its international cinema premiere.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Warner Bros. had quite a lot of frustrations this past summer, with "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." and "Hot Pursuit Entourage" being the biggest flops for the production company. The film's loss amounts to around $80 million.

Aloha

"Aloha" got stirred up with race-associated controversy and poor reviews. It also got a B- rating from Cinema Score, and all of these poured like rain to make an unanticipated loss of about $65 million for both Fox and Sony.
