Two new smart phones from Google are set to be released near the end of September, the LG Nexus 5 (2015) and the Huawei Nexus 6. The two handsets will be officially introduced at a special event on Sept. 29 in San Francisco.
It will be available for pre-order two weeks later on Oct. 13. This marks the first time that Google will unveil two new phones at the same year, Christian Post reported. It is speculated by PC Advisor that the price will range from £399 to £499.
Leaked photos of the device are making rounds on the Internet showing a black and a white Nexus 5 2015 gizmo where the nickname "Project N3," signifying that it is the third Nexus phone of LG is seen. The images also revealed a bunch of apps displayed on the device that includes Google Search Fit, Google+, Gmail, Music, Newsstand and more.
Alongside the images, the specifications of the device was also revealed which included a fingerprint scanner, located under the back camera, as well as an LED flash and autofocus. According to GSM Arena, the new LG variant would be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 808 chipset and 2 GB of RAM and it would have a 5.2-inch screen display with 1080p resolution.
Said device is also rumored to have a 12.3-megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. But one of the most exciting additions to the LG Nexus phone is its LTE capability that will speed up downloads and uploads.
The new phones will come with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system that will deliver important changes to the phones which includes mobile payments system, USB Type-C support and other "more intuitive" app permissions.
Meanwhile, the Nexus phone from Huawei, which is expected to be called the Nexus 6, will be sporting a larger 5.7-inch display, with the Snapdragon 810 SoC, at least 3 GB of RAM and a 21-megapixel back camera.
