Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder Fighting Over Baby Plans? ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Actress Urges Husband to Quit ‘The Vampire Diaries’

Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed recently tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony in April; however, things are not looking too well for the newlywed couple, as a report claims that Reed and Somerhalder are already fighting over baby plans. Is Reed still hesitant to start her own family with Somerhalder?

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are reportedly fighting over baby plans since they tied the knot in April. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the 36-year-old actor wanted to have a honeymoon baby with his wife, Reed. Reed, however, recently scored a role in the series, "Sleepy Hollow" and does not want to ruin her chances of going beyond the "Twilight" fame just because of having a baby bump.

The outlet also quoted a statement from the show's co-creator, who said that Reed was the perfect choice for the role of Betsy Ross, as she can "bring a smart and sexy edge to our show's twisted version of [the] American Icon." This statement about Reed being "smart and sexy" alone is enough to throw those pregnancy plans to the window.

While Reed definitely has her hands full being a series regular in the series, the 27-year-old actress is reportedly pushing Somerhalder to score a role in the upcoming movie, "Fifty Shades Darker," another report from the same outlet stated. According to the publication, Somerhalder's time in "The Vampire Diaries" is ticking away, as ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev just left The CW series in Season 6.

Somerhalder is currently rumored to play the role of Jack Hyde, opposite to Jamie Dornan's Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson's Anastasia Steele in the movie adaptation of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series. Reed reportedly wanted Somerhalder to take the role in order to thwart off any chances for Somerhalder and Dobrev to reunite.

Should Ian Somerhalder play the role of Jack Hyde in "Fifty Shades Darker?" Is Nikki Reed selfish for prioritizing her career over her family? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
