"Incredibles 2" will be released earlier than "Cars 3." It has been unclear which movie will be released first, whether it's "The Incredibles 2" or "Cars 3." So to clear things up, the very busy director Brad Bird, offered some insight on the movies to come.
"Incredibles 2" maker, the 57-year-old Bird last work was "Tomorrowland," which was shown last summer and is currently working on the remake of the classic, "The Iron Giant: Signature Edition," is also working on the script of "The Incredibles 2."
"Incredibles 2" director started writing the superhero-family script early this year and is around 75 percent complete. The majority of the writing team came from the first movie and he said that the experience is fun and enjoyable, as usual, Collider reported.
The most interesting topic bird said was with regards to the release date of the "Incredibles 2," "In terms of the release date, we were originally- 'Incredibles' was supposed to happen after 'Cars,' and our wheels just happened to click a little earlier so they moved us up."
"Incredibles 2" statement made by director brought a little more confusion to the fans of each movie, which has been a stimulating topic of discussion for Pixar and Disney followers. Of which of their beloved movie will be shown first and both sides want theirs to be first.
Mr. Bird's representative immediately cleared the matter up, that the director was simply referring to the release date of the original two movies.
With that statement, plus Pixar's plan of doing a sequel per year means that "Toy Story 4" may be slated for a 2017 release. "The Incredibles 2" will then take a June 15, 2018 theatrical release date which leaves "Cars 3" for a 2019 opening.
"Incredibles 2" storyline will center on the youngest of the Parr family, Jack-Jack. The youngest member of the family is said to have laser vision, super-strength and shape-shifting skills, Moviefone reported.
