'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' [MGSV:TPP] Update, Will this Truly be the Last Non-Mobile Platform Game from Konami?

"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is Konami's last non-mobile platform game.

"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is one of the highly successful franchise and one of the highly anticipated games that was released this year, and it may be the last for Konami in terms of big budget games. They will be moving forward to mobile consumers.

"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" rumors say that it will be the last AAA game for Konami. There have been a lot of indication about this in the recent months and a lot are expecting that this would happen.

This "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" news was first announced by French gaming website Gameblog, saying that Konami will now stop producing AAA games, except for Pro Evolution Soccer. It was also said that the Japanese gaming giant will focus its attention to another platform, that is, mobile gaming, Eurogamer reports.

Just recently, on Sept. 18 to be exact, Rika Muranaka, the "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" composer, sent out a tweet to her fans saying that it was a sad moment for her. "Yes... it's pretty sad... now, I can't write music to any of AAA games... well, I need to find another AAA game company," Muranaka posted on her official Twitter page.

Aside from these, no other word is being said by either Konami or Mr. Kojima. So, at the moment, these are still speculations.

Though "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" has been successful, it was quite different for the company, Konami, which had a rough year -- technically speaking. Early in the year, Hideo Kojima, the creator of the "Metal Gear" and "Metal Gear Solid" franchises, had resigned from Konami. Out of professionalism, he did not abandon "MGSV: TPP," which was eventually released just recently. Since Kojima is not anymore connected with Konami, "Silent Hill" was also scrapped in the process.

At the moment, the developer of "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" has not released any official statement regarding the matter. The gaming community still hopes that these are just speculations.
