Samsung Creates First Foldable Display Smartphone 'Project Valley': OLED, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 in February 2016

Samsung is making the first ever foldable display.

Samsung is a maverick when it comes to smartphone displays. They are the first one to release large screen phones back in 2011. They might be at it again with a smartphone that will have a foldable display in the flesh by early next year.

Samsung, the Korean tech giant is always trickling on the boundaries of the norms. Remember the Galaxy Note introduced four years back, with the "humongous" 5.3-inch screen, it was back then. It was said that consumers will not want to carry that particular, large screen device. Samsung proved them all wrong.

Samsung rumors have emerged saying that a set of patent illustrations has surfaced clearly illustrating a Samsung smartphone with a screen so flexible that it can be folded in two. That is how the design team and geeks in Samsung works and it's super-secret name is "Project Valley," Patently Mobile reported.

Samsung foldable display smartphone is said to be in a testing phase. Leaked information about this phone said that two new models are tipped to be containing a Snapdragon 820 and the other one with a Snapdragon 620. Displays are OLED and contains 3 GB worth of RAM, and a MicroSD memory expansion slot. It is also said to be having a non-removable battery.

Samsung foldable display smartphone "Project Valley" will be unveiled in February during the Mobile World Congress. It is also said that during this time, Samsung will be unveiling the also rumored flagship phone, the Galaxy S7, which is also in a testing stage, as previously reported by Tech Times.

Samsung Galaxy S7, the next-Gen device will be running the latest Android OS, the Marshmallow, and will come with a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm.

Samsung has not confirmed any news. As always, with regards to rumored phones, we will have to wait and see. So check back once in a while, to know the latest.
