Things are definitely getting more exciting in this week's episode of "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22.
Last week, Bello and Courtney were sent home during the double elimination, while Lacey won best photo again in the life-size dolls-themed photoshoot. This week, previously eliminated contestants were back in the game to steal a spot in the top seven currently occupied by Lacey, Nyle, Justin, Mikey, Hadassah, Mamé and Devin.
Who among Stefano, Ashley, Bello, Courtney, Dustin, Delany and Ava was given a second chance to compete?
Let's first check what happened in Episode 9.
Having won best photo for the third time, Lacey felt like people are getting sick of her being on the top, but Tyra Banks told her not to let others' jealousy affect her and just enjoy her prize.
This week's challenge involves going on their go-sees, which showed how they would do in the real fashion world. First they were brought to Next Management where Kelly Cutrone welcomed them. And to their surprise (or disappointment?), previously eliminated contestants were there and paired to each one of them for the challenge. Kelly told them that one of the eliminated will be replacing one of the top seven.
Lacey was given the chance to choose her partner first and picked Stefano. Nyle picked Delanie, and as expected, Mikey picked Ashley. Justin partnered with Dustin, and Mame with Courtney. Hadassah picked Ava, which made Bello upset. Devin, who was at the bottom three in Episode 8, was left with Bello.
Each pair was given three hours to visit four go-sees. They need to go back before time runs out, otherwise they are disqualified from the challenge. Lacey and Stefano made it back first. Most of the others got stuck in traffic. Mame and Courtney were not able to return on time.
Nyle and Mikey both booked three out of three. Hadassah, Justin and Dustin booked three out of four. Stefano booked two out of three, while Devin booked one out of three, and Bello none. Mame booked all four and might have won the challenge if she wasn't tardy by 14 minutes. Hadassah was declared as winner.
For the photoshoot, Yu Tsai told them they were going to pose with dogs that resemble them. Nyle and Bello posed with a Husky. Mikey and Stefano were with an Afghan. Hadassah was with a French poodle and Lacey with a Sheepdog. Mame was with a Doberman, while Devin posed with a Chinese Crested.
They met with the judges the next day. Tyra, J. Alexander and Kelly all love Hadassah's shot. Tyra likes Devin's photo, while Kelly said he needs more diversity. Mikey's photo was not his best shot. The judges love Lacey's shot as well and told her that her eyes and legs are great. Tyra likes Mame's shot, but Kelly was not feeling a fashion moment from it. Justin's photo did not appeal to the judges. Nyle looked sexy and elegant in his photo.
Next, the judges looked at the photos of the eliminated. Ashley's eyes looked lost in the photo, while Kelly said Stefano's shot looks like a "badass model." Tyra said Dustin's photo is great head to toe. The judges also liked Courtney's shot, which looked like a "badass Lolita fairy warrior." Judges have mixed feelings with Delanie's dancing shot, while J. Alexander likes Ava's photo. Tyra loves Bello's photo and told him he did a great job.
Eliminated contestants were sent out again one by one, until only Stefano and Dustin were left. Stefano was sent out too and Dustin was the one who made it back in the competition.
Nyle won best photo. Next was Hadassah, then third was Lacey. Mame was called next, and then Mikey. Bottom two is Devin and Justin.
Before Tyra announced who's going home, she told them everyone is going to Las Vegas next week.
Justin and Devin's scores were counted down, but the episode ended on that cliffhanger.
