'Empire' Season 2: Low Rating Due to Gay Plot, Says 50 Cent; Hakeem in Love Triangle as He Forms "New Destiny's Child"

"Power" executive producer and rapper 50 Cent has indicated that "Empire Season 2" is giving too much emphasis on its gay characters, which he believes is the reason behind its low TV ratings.

An Instagram user's post was reposted by Fiddy, which stated: 'There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night's Empire episode!!!! [did] you watch it? We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!!' The post was, however, later on deleted.

It is known to everyone that 50 Cent is one of the major critics of the show, as he also produces the rival series entitled "Power."

He previously called Empire Season 2 as "some sh*t you get for free," competing to his premium cable show which he thinks is "worth paying for."

The rapper added, based on BET, "Empire's ratings took a huge hit. Okay, I'll stop now. Cookie call me baby. I'll tell everybody to watch the show for you." He posted this on Instagram after users rained him with criticisms.

Lee Daniels, creator of "Empire Season 2" expressed his frustrations, saying gay plots didn't do well with viewers.

He said during the interview with Telegraph, "With our first test screening, the audience loved everything, but when we showed Jamal kissing his boyfriend they hated it. I was hoping the message would be that it is cool to be gay, but I guess we've still got a long way to go."

On other news about "Empire" Season 2, Hakeem Lyon is determined and bound to make the "new Destiny's Child" in wanting to prove to his family that he is not just a rapper. The youngest son of the Lyons will put much of his time on the Season 2 of "Empire" working to debit the upcoming all-female group.

How will Tiana react to Valentina (Becky G), Hakeem's new playmate? This is what the viewers should find out next. The Latin girl and Hakeem already had a skinny-dipping moment in a hot tub, will there be a love triangle between him and the two girls? Hakeem is always prone to a love triangle.

"Empire" airs at 9 p.m. on Fox every Wednesday.
