'Star Wars Episode VIII': Benicio del Torro Says Rian Johnson's a Great Director for the Film

The much awaited Lucasfilm movie "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" may still be three months away from its debut, however people are already discussing about the movie's sequel. Benicio del Toro confirmed that there is a new addition to the " Episode VIII cast," which will also have John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.

Although, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," hasn't really been out yet, it is not possible not to view beyond the latest installment of the George Lucas films. The saga continues on with "Episode VIII " and "Episode IX," but there's talks about a Han Solo/ Boba Fett and Rogue One films.

Benicio Del Toro will be the villain in "Episode VIII," and he is currently in talks about what made him say yes in the film, and why Rian Johnson would be the great director for this project.

Benecio Del Toro made these remarks to Empire Magazine during the prmotions of Sicario. The Puerto Rican actor was asked about what Johnson could share to "Star Wars: Episode VIII," which made him to claim that the director is capable to bring new energy in the production.

"I think like, a cool, sci-fi realism, if I may say that, if that makes any sense," del Toro explained. "I love his film 'Looper,' and I just like talking to him about the film. He's one of those new talented people that 'Star Wars' is hiring to infuse the franchise with new steroids."

Benicio del Toro is the only actor officially announced to be play in "Star Wars Episode VIII," it won't be too long as there are several lead actress auditioning and already in the shortlist like Gina Rodriguez, Meslany, Gina Rodrigues and Olivia Cooke.
