Anti-Duggars are doing their best to ensure that the Duggar family is kept off-air for good by campaigning advertisers not to sponsor anything Duggar, Dillard or Seewald.
After Josh Duggar got entangled to sex scandal and his admission to porn addiction and cheating on his wife, the Duggar family reality show "19 Kids and Counting" was cancelled. Last month, E! News has confirmed that sisters Jill and Jessa Duggar are going back to the small screen with their own TLC specials. The series of new specials will focus on Jessa and husband Ben Seewald's preparation for their first baby, and Jill and Derrick Dillard's missionary work and new life in El Salvador.
As per The Inquistr, critics have turned to Facebook and created anti-Duggar campaign pages -- Cancel the Duggars and Contacting Sponsors #Nomoreduggars99. They are encouraging advertisers not to support Jill and Jessa's TLC specials. According to Star Pulse, around 180 companies have already committed they will not sponsor the Duggar sisters' show, including Allstate Insurance, Crayola, H&M (Canada), Ikea, KFC and McDonald's. Members of the Facebook pages are contacting many other companies to encourage or put pressure on them to pull out their support to the family.
There is also an ongoing "Stop The Duggars From Getting a New Reality Show" petition. It says, "Help to prevent The Duggar Family from nabbing a spot on TLC with a new reality show. Stand up for all victims of abuse and prevent them from capitalizing off network ratings by exploiting their own children and sexual abuse survivors."
One petitioner's comment reads, "I'm signing because I am against their spewing of hate for the LGBT community and their disgusting and cruel "blanket training. Hiding their son's pedophilia and making their daughter's claim it was nothing and they aren't bothered and aren't victims of anything. They are the worst kind of people. They don't work, they are narcissistic and their hypocrisy is palpable!"
A former fan said, "I am writing to express disappointment of TLC due to the continued support of the Duggar family especially Jill and Jessa. I previously was a loyal fan of the Duggar family and the show. I used to praise this family to high heavens. I put them on a pedestal. The family have publicly obstrucized others while protecting a molester in their home. After my own investigation, observations and research, I no longer support the family, their specials, nor Jill and Jessa."
