LG's Nexus 5X Officially Launched; Google Nexus Smartphone Loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Residents of the United States and the United Kingdom can now purchase the first of the two Google Nexus phone, the LG Nexus 5X. It is also confirmed that the newly released handset is loaded with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

After months of waiting, fans can finally get their hands on the Nexus 5X. Initially, the smartphone will be available in the US and the UK, but according to a source, there are retailers in other countries, such as Ireland, India, South Korea and Japan that were already selling them as well, as reported by Tech Radar.

The LG Nexus 5X comes in with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.44 GHz and 1.82 GHz, a 5.2-inch Full HD 1080 x 1920 pixel Gorilla Glass protected display, a 12.3MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP at the front.

The quad-core chip is backed by a 2 GB RAM, while storage comes in 2 variants, a 16GB and 32 GB. The lens for the main camera is equipped with a laser auto-focus while a dual-LED flash provide additional lighting for taking pictures on dark moments, added by GSM Arena.

An Adreno 418 comes in for the graphics, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, a non-removable 2700 mAh battery. The Nexus 5X comes in three colors: Carbon, Quartz and Ice.

For those interested to get their hands on the new Nexus 5X, price starts at $379 or £339. Of course, price may vary depending on the carrier.

This is the third time that Google and LG have collaborated and it seems that they are in for a successful smartphone again. The LG Nexus 5X packs a lot of power under its hood, as well as, a good price.

However, there is no word yet on when will the Huwaei Nexus 6P will launch. The Nexus 6P is a 5.7-inch phablet and is considered as Google's flagship phone.
