Avid Netflix viewers who have binge-watched the thrilling drama can look forward to the second season of "Narcos," a series that follows the rise and fall of Escobar's drug empire. According to iDigital Times, "Narcos" Season 2's release date might fall in late summer or fall of 2016. This has given rise to speculation that it will probably be released in August 2016 as it coincides with the previous programming schedule of Netflix.

Meanwhile, Wagner Moura, who will reprise his lead role as Pablo Escobar in "Narcos" Season 2, talked about his preparations in portraying the Colombian cartel kingpin's character.

In an interview with Vulture, the Brazilian actor dished details on the preparations he did before and after getting the role. He said he went to Escobar's birthplace in Medellin, Colombia to gain deeper understanding of the real-life man and to learn the Spanish language. Moura's efforts eventually paid off as he received acclaim for his breakthrough performance in "Narcos."

The Brazilian star shared that his most unpleasant experience was gaining 40 pounds to play the "fat" drug lord of Colombia. As for his appearance in the second season, he said he would prefer to wear a fat suit.

The "Narcos" actor also mentioned that since he has gained Spanish-speaking friends from filming the hit Netflix series, he has been practicing with them so that he will not forget.

"Ï have to have a fake belly! I made a lot of friends in Colombia, so we will always talk, and I'm trying to keep up with Spanish. The first season, I also had a dialogue coach with me all the time. So if we have a second season, I hope to have this guy again," said Moura.
