‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Cast, Spoilers: ‘San Andreas’ Star Art Parkinson Returns as Rickon Stark; Youngest Stark to Become Lord of Winterfell?

"Game of Thrones" season 6 is speculated to present Rickon Stark (Art Parkinson), the youngest member of the House of Stark, as the Lord of Winterfell. As Sansa Stark's troubles have hardened her more than ever, Rickon is expected to shoulder the responsibility. However, events could change if GoT producers decide to deviate from the book.

The Stark lineage has greatly diminished, which started with the death of the head of the House, Eddard (Sean Bean), then Robb (Richard Madden). Arya (Maisie Williams) is currently an assassin while Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) is supposedly turning into a tree. Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Rickon are the only Starks remaining in Westeros who could still take back and lead Winterfell, according to iDigitalTimes.

While Sansa's storyline is not in the books anymore, nobody knows where it will go from "Game of Thrones" season 5. Sansa has also changed a lot since the beginning of the series. Unlike before, where she simply followed everything she was told -- from Joffrey Baratheon to Ramsay Bolton (Tyrion's not included) -- now the eldest Stark daughter has become more cunning and hardened.

Rickon could end up as the Lord of Winterfell, if he is found by Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) in Skagos. King Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) would prefer an ally from the House of Stark than a traitor from the House of Bolton. Technically, if Rickon is the Lord of Winterfell, he is now the eldest living male that is heir to Eddard Stark. By the time he is found, and back in Winterfell, the North may become whole again.

In the book, King Stannis won the Battle of Winterfell and the Bolton's were out. However, the HBO series shows different storylines from the original books. In GoT, Stannis was killed while Rickon will not have an easy way into being the King of the North, wrote Food World News.

Looking into quite a far future, the Lannisters will definitely go and vacate the Iron Throne, the seat of the Lord of the Seven Kingdoms. A Targaryen is said to be the next to sit on the Iron Throne, which even Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) will not be able to stop. It may be Daenerys or Aegon who might take the crown, and when that time comes, the North will need to defend the kingdom from the real war, against the creatures of ice and cold called the White Walkers.

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 will return on HBO in 2016.
