‘Uncharted 4’ News, Updates: Has Microtransaction; Items can be Purchased by In-Game Currency as Well

"Uncharted 4" players will be able to procure game items that include weapons, tools and even upgrades with real money. These items can also be earned with the in-game currency, Naughty Dog said during the demonstration.

A private demonstration, of the much-awaited "Uncharted 4" for the media, was given by Naughty Dog during the Paris Games Week. Robert Cogburn, Naughty Dog's Lead Game Designer, then answered questions with regard to its highly anticipated game.

One question that is particularly interesting is the game's microtransaction, which many new games had recently adopted, which has been included with the latest installment of the "Uncharted" series. Cogburn said that, that might not be the case, as reported by Stevovor.

"Microtransactions will be available at launch, but we'll have no gameplay items that will be gated through microtransactions," he replied.

Uncharted 4's multiplayer mode tried to move away from the action-movie realism of the main campaign, players are allowed to use mystical totems to unravel their own supernatural abilities. Players can also summon sidekicks, such as medics, sniper, and much more. Similar to the menu of "The Counterstrike" a player can select first his or her weapon of choice, which will have different in-game currency.

Cogburn also said that they are targeting to create the right balance between real-money purchasing of weapons and tools against fighting it out with other players. This can only be determined once the beta of "Un Charter 4" Multiplayer has been performed. The data coming from the beta test will be scrutinized and do whatever is necessary to have a better gaming experience.

The Lead Game Designer also said that "Uncharted 4" maybe Naughty Dog's last creation of the series. This is also in support of Neil Druckmann''s statement that the last game will be the end of an era for the studio, as reported by Game Spot.

The "Uncharted 4" will hit the stores on March 18, 2016.
