The "Star Wars: Battlefront" beta test has concluded and it made the company excited for the release of the actual game on Nov. 12. Peter Moore, Electronic Arts' COO, has also announced the planned DLC for the game and according to him, it will be coming over within the next few months after the game is made public.
"Star Wars: Battlefront" players can receive special benefits for the game if they have EA's early access membership, GameSpot reported.
The "Star Wars: Battlefront" developer's COO has revealed a 33-minute audio only webcast via Media Server, entitled Electronic Arts Q2 2016 Earnings Conference Call, where he showed that there will be a total of four DLCs that will be available for the "Star Wars" game, and is expected to be released from 12 to 18 months after the November game's launch. He also said that there will be new universes, player actions, and new weaponry available from this add-on.
"What we've announced is four extra packs over the next 12 to 18 months coming post launch. To be very clear, you'll see new universes, you're gonna see new player actions, obviously new weaponry as well," Moore said via the webcast.
The "Star Wars: Battlefront" COO also encourages players to purchase "Star Wars: Battlefront Season Pass," currently priced at $50 because it will include the four expansion packs.
EA wants to replicate what they did to "Battlefield" with "Star Wars: Battlefront." They want to keep this game going and allow the game to establish itself beyond the first year. With this move, the company is expecting to bring back long gone players, who were with them during "Battlefield," as well as invite younger players to join their community.
"We're energized by the opportunity to bring in that lapsed gamer group, as well as adding a new, younger demographic. This is a shooter title that will be more appropriate for younger players compared to some other shooter titles in the market," explained Andrew Wilson, EA's CEO.
"Star Wars: Battlefront" will be released on Nov. 12.
