In an Instagram post, People teased a picture to provide a clue as to who is the Sexiest Man Alive of 2015, and Dornan's fans were quick to guess that it's the British actor, according to Bustle. The fans based their guess on the man's leg and gray pants in the photo, and many are convinced that it is indeed the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star who would take the crown from Chris Hemsworth, last year's Sexiest Man Alive.
The magazine also tweeted a silhouette, which further bolstered the fans' belief. With the 33-year-old actor's sizzling scenes in "Fifty Shades of Grey," it would be easy for him to bag the title this year. Many fans swooned over his toned body when the BDSM-centered film was released in theaters in February.
Unfortunately for those expecting that Dornan would be crowned the Sexiest Man Alive for 2015, the results came out differently. During the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show on Tuesday night, it was revealed that David Beckham, not Dornan, who grabbed the title from the "Thor" actor.
The 40-year-old football superstar was interviewed by Kimmel during the show after the news broke, reported TIME. During the interview with People magazine, the former England football team captain said that his son, Brooklyn, jokingly asked, "Are you sure it's not me that's meant to be there today?"
Even after being given the Sexiest Man Alive title, the ex-Real Madrid player still thinks that even if he likes to dress nicely and feels good, he has never seen himself as a sexy or attractive man. Beckham is married to former Spice Girls member, Victoria Beckham, with whom he shares three sons and a daughter. He is widely considered as one of the hottest football players in the world.
