CBS Exchanges Episodes After Paris Attacks; Story Plots Have Strong Resemblance to Paris Incident

After the terror attacks that happened last Friday in Paris, CBS decided to cancel both episodes of "NCIS: LA" and "Supergirl." The shows were originally scheduled to be aired on Monday, but since the plots have a strong resemblance to the recent brutal incidents, it's understandable that CBS has dropped the plan.

The "Supergirl" episode scheduled for Monday has a story plot that's focused on a city being smashed by bombings, so the network then decided to air a different episode which was originally planned to be aired on Nov. 23. The story is about the main character and her foster mother's relationship.

Likewise, "NCIS: LA" is also exchanging the originally scheduled episode for Dec. 7, because the planned episode involved a teen who was being recruited into joining a terrorist group. The episode will instead be replaced by another episode that's focused on a woman who went missing.

TNT has also decided to halt the airing of the drama "Legends" for Monday for the same reasons. The show portrays a radical shooting in a crowded Paris. Instead, they will be airing a previously shown episode of "Legends."

Lionsgate has also re-adjusted its plan for the movie premiere of "Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2," and is now scheduled to be aired on Monday in L.A. There was an announcement that the premiere will be skipping cast interviews. According to the management, this is in respect of those who were affected by the recent incident in Paris. This has resulted to their decision to modify the red carpet event and to no longer conduct any interviews during the opening. But the company will still proceed as planned with the other activities, to show gratitude to fans who have supported their movies with great passion.

Similar gestures have increased throughout the week as the showbiz industry responded to the brutal attacks. The highest death toll happened in the Bataclan concert arena while an American band was performing.
