'Castle' Season 8 Spoilers: Producer Alexi Hawley Pledges More Answers on Rick Castle’s Disappearance; Possible Reconciliation with Beckett?

The Season 8 Split has used up the fans' attention and the million dollar question in their minds is, what really happened when Rick Castle went missing during the 7th season premiere? It has been a long time since ABCs "Castle" viewers thought about anything aside from the characters of Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion reconciling. The status remains vague, as Castle's relationship status and timeline stays inconclusive; however, producer Alex Hawley is assuring answers on Rick's disappearance.

Hawley told Entertainment Weekly, "We can definitively say that that's coming up in the middle part of the season. We're definitely going to go there probably in the episode 14 area -- 13, 14, 15 -- something like that. We're still nailing down the specifics, but we want to get into that. We want to, as we promised at the beginning of the season, tie that in to some of the stuff that we set up at the beginning of the season."

In Season 7, Episode 20, viewers discovered the reason behind Rick's disappearance on his wedding day, and it was because he was nabbed by the CIA to act as a negotiator between his old Pakistani friend Bilal who was working with the Al Qaeda and the United States. Although there are still a lot of unanswered queries, like how did Castle get shot and why was he missing for more than two months. Perhaps viewers will know in the mid-season of Season 8 the answer to this question, like what Hawley hinted.

Likely beat from the "will they or will they not" drama between Beckett and Castle, viewers have been checking out the Season 7. Hawley may wish to begin dishing out those quick answers when the series return this month.

"Castle" will be back from hiatus on Nov. 9, and airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
