‘Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance’ Recap: The Art of Blindsiding Eliminates Kelly Wiglesworth

"Survivor: Cambodia -- Second Chance" is fast becoming the season of blindsides as another contestant got eliminated.

In the Nov. 18 episode, Kelly Wiglesworth's fire ran out as castaways voted her out of the game, something that she had not seen coming. According to Hollywood Life, the just eliminated castaway said she felt most betrayed by Jeremy, whom she thought she had bonded with right from the start. Wiglesworth said it hurt knowing that he did not really have her back.

The 38-year-old North Carolina native also mentioned in an interview that she mulled over having an all-girl alliance instead. It would have gotten her farther in the game but then she would not be true to herself if she was not in alliance with the people she liked to be around with. So what exactly happened that led to Wiglesworth's elimination?

Stephen seemed to want to break any alliance Joe has in the tribe. After all, since the merge, only Joe has won the individual immunity so far. That is two to be exact. So when Stephen saw that Kelly and Joe looked a lot closer than before, it drove him to think of a way to get rid of the strongest contestant.

Stephen was bent on having Joe's name written during the tribal council so he approached Ciera, Abi and Kelley, dubbed as the Witches Coven, and everyone knows these three would do anything to stay in the game. Stephen wanted Joe out but during the conversation, Kelly Wiglesworth's name was brought up. Viewers know that she was not too friendly with the Witches Coven.

Unfortunately for Stephen, Joe won his third immunity and was safe for another week. This means the only one left to be voted out is Kelly. Stephen then talked with Jeremy and Spencer about the plan. Spencer and Jeremy were doubtful about the suggestion.

However, when the time for tribal council came, Stephen's plan of getting rid of Kelly panned out much to her surprise. Hence, the chance for her to win the $1M top prize ended with her elimination.

It was the second time that Kelly Wiglesworth joined the CBS series. She joined the first season of "Survivor" in 2000, where she came in second, Greensboro reported.

With "Survivor: Cambodia -- Second Chance" contestants becoming experts at outwitting other castaways, the next episode will surely have new surprises in store for fans of the CBS reality show.
