Emily Wilson is returning to "General Hospital" this coming holiday.
According to Soap Opera In Depth ABC, Ellie Trout will be back at Port Charles with Georgie (played by Harper Barash). Ellie was last seen in "General Hospital" in May.
The daytime soap is planning a Toys for Tots charity event, which will be held at the Metro Court hotel. Other details are yet to be revealed. In line with this, "General Hospital" is going to have an on-screen Nutcracker Gala which could use Ellie's singing and dancing skills. Emily will also be joined by Bradford Anderson as Spinelli, who also has some singing talent.
Soap Opera Network has shared some sneak peek of the Nutcracker Gala which will be aired in December. These were revealed during the soap's backstage tour on "Good Morning America" as hosted by Laura Wright (Carly) and Executive Producer Frank Valentini.
Finola Hughes (Anna) is going to play Mrs. Claus in some episodes, wearing a red velvet, Santa-inspired costume, which "is a little sexy," as Wright noted. Hayley Erin (Kiki) will be wearing a red and green elf costume complete with a matching cap with jingle bells. During the tour, Erin was rehearsing with Maura West (Ava) and a stunt Avery doll.
During the tour for the "Good Morning America," the daytime soap was filming for its holiday episodes and viewers got a look of the set for the gala, including the an outdoor park set fully decorated for the holidays where Santa would be "greeting the kids." Laura also showed a board with pictures of the soap's actresses wearing their gowns for the ball.
Emily debuted in "General Hospital" in 2012. Other credits she is known for include "Meet the Spartans" (2008) and "The House Bunny" (2008). The actress also appeared in "The Newsroom" in 2012 and 2014 and "Bones" in 2011.
