Microsoft is kicking off Thanksgiving celebrations with a massive sale for its Windows 10 users. From Nov. 20 until 29, users can purchase more than 1,000 titles of movies, songs, games, and apps at a bargain-basement price of only 10 cents each.
The promo, dubbed as "10 Days of 10 Cents Deals," urges users to visit the Microsoft Store daily during the 10-day period, as the company annouced that each day will bring new deals and may include some special suprises.
According to Ubergizmo, movie rentals include some of this year's biggest movies in Hollywood, such as "Jurassic World," "Terminator Genisys" and "Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1."
For music lovers, thousands of songs are available for download at also 10 cents each. Singles include songs from Justin Bieber, Pitbull and John Legend.
Games that are part of the bargain include "Angry Birds," "Star Wars," "Hitman Go" and "Where's My Water." According to GameSpot, regular prices of these games go from $3 up to $10, making the 10-cent deal a good bargain. Many of these games are playable on Windows 10 devices but some are Xbox-enabled. Players will be able to access the games with their Xbox Live profile.
In addition, Windows has included several productivity apps in the sale.
With the launch of Windows 10 in July, Microsoft has been making a consistent campaign for users to upgrade. The company is offering a free subscription for the first year. Ubergizmo noted that their marketing strategy has been working, as Windows 10 is now powering over 110 million devices. The "10 Days of 10 Cents Deals" may be yet another push towards the new operating system.
Promo runs from Nov. 20 to 29 and is available for U.S. users only.
