Did Gal Gadot just teased the fans about her forthcoming DC superheroine film with a picture via Twitter?
The actress will be playing the title role, shared an image of herself in a new costume as "Wonder Woman," through her Twitter account.
The image featured the "Wonder Woman" actress in her Amazonian princess identity, wearing a dark cloak. She named the image as "Almost 75 years in the making ... #WonderWoman is underway." See the image here.
Although, she has her own film in DC, Gadot was also chosen to play the same character in the forthcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film. There were also rumors that Nicole Kidman was also chosen to star as "Wonder Woman" in the solo movie.
The rumors were denied by Warner Bros statement during a press conference announcing that Gadot will be Diana Prince/ Wonder Woman. The statement also stated that the film will be shut on location like Italy, U.K and France. Before this "Wonder Woman" film, Gadot will make a debut as "Wonder Woman" in the big screen in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," which set to premiere in March 2016, Australian News Network reported.
The "Wonder Woman" actress started her Hollywood career after working in the Israel Defense Forces. She had her big break in the famous franchise starring with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in "Fast and the Furious."
The images of other "Wonder Woman" stars likeSaid Taghmaoui (American Hustle) and Chris Pine (Star Trek) in the 1940;s period costumes hit the Web last week. On the other hand, the images were later deleted from Taghamaoui's Instagram, reported by CNET.
The actor Pine will play Wonder Woman's love interest, Captain Steve Trevor in the film. The film also stars Danny Huston of "X-Men Origins' Wolverine" and "Clash of the Titans," Elena Anaya of " The Skin I Live In," Ewen Bremner of "Snowpiercer," Lucy Davis " Shaun of the Dead," David Thewlis "Harry Potter," and Robin Wright of " House of Cards" and " The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."
Lastly,"Wonder Woman" is set to premiere in June 23, 2017 and will be directed by Patty Jenkins.
