‘Gotham’ Season 2, Episode 11 Spoilers: Penguin Helps Out Jim Gordon to Save Bruce Wayne; Who Will Die in Battle of the Villains?

"Gotham" Season 2, Episode 11, the midseason finale of the series, highlights Jim Gordon teaming up with Penguin/Oswald Cobblepot to save Bruce Wayne.

In a very unlikely twist, Oswald (Robin Lord Taylor) extends his hand to Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as the law enforcer races against time to rescue Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) from the hands of Theo Galavan (James Frain). In the preview for the upcoming episode, Oswald is seen saying to Gordon, "If there was a time for us to work together, now is that time."

Penguin, in Gotham's history, is one of Batman's fiercest enemies. But while he is dangerous, he is still reasonable in some way and that is what the midseason finale episode exploits. Viewers know that Penguin believes in paying back a deed. Do something good for him and he will pay you back with a good deed but if you do something bad, then be ready to receive his wrath.

Although ultimately, Jim's and Penguin's reasons for teaming up are different from each other, both have the urge in them to finally defeat Theo. Jim wants to do so because Theo is a villainous man who's planning to build an evil empire in Gotham. On the other hand, Penguin wants to kill Theo to avenge his mother's death.

Will the team up between Jim and Penguin be successful? In a synopsis released by Fox, "Gotham" season 2, episode 11 is going to be a battle of the villains and in such a battle, not everyone could survive. Fans will wonder, who would die then?

In the video preview, it would seem that Silver St. Cloud (Natalie Alyn Lind) may not survive the action-packed episode. On the other hand, it would not be surprising if Theo's evil days are at an end. With a battle of that scale, it is only apt that a known character would meet his fate. Besides, the fall finale episode will introduce Mr. Freeze (Nathan Darrow), another big villain in Gotham.

Catch "Gotham" season 2, episode 11 on Monday Nov. 30 at 8PM ET on FOX.
