HTC will be releasing two flagship devices this coming year in their efforts to go bigger in 2016. The One X9 will be released in the first quarter of 2016, followed by the One M10 within two to three months after.
According to Ecumenical News, the One X9 is said to follow the design of the One A9 and will possibly cost around $499. HTC One M10, on the other hand, is said to be launched right after the first smartphone rolls out. The information about the release of the two smartphones came from the HTC's ROM Developer, LlabTooFer who announced it recently on Twitter.
HTC has been working extra hard in developing the One M10 as claimed by some reports, especially after some reviews that the HTC One M9 got because of its overheating issues, lousy design and downgraded battery.
It seems HTC will be having some difficulty topping the design of the M8 and M9. HTC users are also expecting a better battery life for the M10, as many got disappointed with the M9's battery. It looks like consumers are expecting the next HTC smartphone's battery life to last for at least two days. It is also reported that the M10 supports wireless charging, which is something that consumers would definitely want to see.
As reported by Yibada, aside from upgraded battery, the HTC One M10 will have revolutionary and unique features in a flagship smartphone. These include 5-inch screen display with TV-like 4k pixel resolution, microSD slot of up to 2 Terabytes, 4GB RAM, and dual SIM support.
There are also rumors about HTC's improved main camera with an enhanced autofocus technology and USB Type-C support. The Android Pit site suggested that a fingerprint scanner will also boost the smartphone's marketability.
There is no official announcement from the Taiwanese manufacturer yet. The HTC enthusiasts are advised to wait for further updates.
