‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: Bran Stark’s Comeback May Just Be the Key to Jon Snow’s Past and Future

"Game of Thrones" season 6 spoilers have kept fans talking and speculating since the end of last season, but some things are just made certain, including the return of Brandon Stark. The second to the youngest son of Ned Stark is confirmed to be back in the series, and apparently his half-brother Jon Snow, too.

The last time fans saw Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) was in "Game of Thrones" season 4 finale when he headed beyond the Wall with Hodor (Kristian Nairn) and Meera Reed (Ellie Kendrick). Bran was saved by a mystical wizard from the Nightwalkers who promised him that although he could never walk again, he would learn to fly instead.

Bran Stark's comeback in the upcoming season is welcomed by many of the character's fans and this new revelation has some people thinking as to why he has returned. The first video teaser for "Game of Thrones" season 6, focuses solely on narrations by Bran and his teacher, the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow).

The young Stark's ability to see the past could be tied up to early rumors that the series will be having a flashback regarding the Tower of Joy, which was speculated earlier as the key to Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) past, the Hollywood Reporter noted. This time hop to Westeros' history may be seen by viewers through Bran's eyes.

Although the teaser did not reveal much, Bran's statement, "They have no idea what's going to happen," is more than enough to consider that he means Jon Snow will be back. After all, the video is filled with the 998th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch scenes from the previous seasons.

In addition, Bran is skilled at possessing the body of not just animals particularly his direwolf, but also humans. The last two scenes of the teaser, Jon Snow dying and Bran's eyes turning white, signaling he's about to possess someone or something, could mean that before Jon Snow takes his last breath, his younger brother would possess his body. Perhaps this will give the fallen hero a few more breaths until Melisandre finds him and heals him.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 will be back on HBO in April 2016.
