The 2015 Game Awards held last Thursday night was intended for honoring achievement in the world of computer games. The ceremony that took place in Los Angeles, California, was streamed live for the rest of the world to see through different Internet streaming services like YouTube and Steam among others.
According to GameSpot, there were five nominees for Video Game of the Year including From Software's "Bloodborne," Bethesda's "Fallout 4," "Kojima's Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain," Nintendo's "Super Mario Maker" and CD Projekt RED's "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." And the overall, Game of the Year award for 2015 goes to "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."
Last year's Game Awards was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bioware's "Dragon Age: Inquisition" won the title for Game of the Year, overtaking the other nominees namely "Bayoneta" by Platinum Games, "Dark Souls 2" by From Software, "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft" from Blizzard Entertainment and "Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor" by Monolith Productions.
