HBO Releases Haunting Sneak Peek of "Game of Thrones" Season 6; Game Adaptation Getting a New Season As Well

The waiting time for the return of the hit TV series "Game of Thrones" on HBO feels painstakingly longer than ever and finally, the network releases a haunting trailer for "Game of Thrones" season 6.

According to GameSpot, the trailer was a 41-second-long clip. It flashes Jon Snow at the beginning with Max von Sydow's character saying, "We watch, we listen, and we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry." It was then followed by a medley of the tragedies that happened in the previous seasons and in the end it reminds fans how Jon Snow was "killed" in season 5. At the end of the video, Bran Stark says, "They have no idea what's going to happen."

And they have no idea how much millions of fans have been impatiently waiting for the next season to premiere. "Game of Thrones" returns to HBO in April.

According to the Verge, HBO is still unwilling to spill if Jon Snow is alive or not. The newly released trailer doesn't look like it is promising anything. The online publication has also suggests that the show may have moved ahead of George R.R. Martin's novel.

In the meantime, the "Game of Thrones" video game adaptation by Telltale is getting a sequel. The announcement followed the Nov. 17 release of the sixth and last episode "The Ice Dragon" for the original season. Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "After this week's finale, I'm pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale's Game of Thrones series and that it's currently in development.

"The questions left on the table at the conclusion of season one, who survived and who didn't, as well as all the other choices you made play a huge role in the second season. We've been planning the second season all along, but I really shouldn't be revealing more than that."

Season one of "Game of Thrones: A Telltale Series" and its six episodes are currently available on consoles, PC, and mobile platforms.
